Hi, I am Calum Allan a former pupil at Crawforddyke Primary. I saw the fire and felt sad for all the teachers and children who lost all their work. The teachers spent £70,000 to knock the huts down and put tar down alone. I like the school very much and all the teachers.

Hi, I'm Jamie Armstrong. I'm sure lots of the teachers will still remember me. I left in the summer of 2002 and now go to Carluke High. I think the website is great and hope you get lots of email from other former pupils.

Hi, I am William Black, probably all of the teachers will remember me because I got on well with everyone. I left in the summer of 2002 and currently go to Carluke High School, it's great now that I am in fourth year but you do get a lot of homework.

Hi, I'm Nicola Bordon nee Rowan, a former pupil of Crawforddyke Primary. I left in 1990 and they were the best years of my life! I was Cameron house captain which I loved, I was also captain of the netball team and girls football team, which we got to the finals in Dumfries and got beat by goal difference, which I was totally gutted about! The best teacher by far was Mrs Girdwood and was glad when got her in p5 and p7. I am so proud my son Liam will be starting in Aug 2012 and hope he loves it as much as his mummy did.

Hilo. Am David Brown. I moved up 2 Carluke from Wales in 1997. All of the teachers must remember me. I luved dat skl but high skl is ok depends wat day it is and what teachers I got. Hope everybody is good.

Hiya, it's me Annabell Bryce and me Emma-Louise Reid.

We left Crawforddyke Primary in the Summer of 2006 and we now go to Carluke High. Many happy regards to Aileen who has had her baby girl Jane. We are missing Crawforddyke and all of our teachers. Some we classed as best friends. We have settled in at High school fine and we are liking MOST of our subjects.

Hope to see you soon.

BYE FOR NOW CRAWFORDDYKE!!! See you all soon!!!

Hiya Everyone!! My name's Michelle Burns. I left Crawforddyke in 2001 after 7 great years. I'm now in S5 and hoping to become a primary school teacher. Big Hiya to all the teachers especially my P5 teacher she was the best!!!

Helen Cairns (nee Mitchell)

I was in Primary 7 the year Crawforddyke opened and (as far as I can remember) won first prize in my class although the first dux was from the other Primary 7. Occasionally, we in Primary 7, would be sent to help with the "wee ones" which I enjoyed, although it never inspired me to become a teacher! On the whole I preferred tidying the "Map Cupboard".

I went on to Wishaw High and after being in the Civil Service I am now a Law Accountant and have worked in Legal Practices for the last 32 years but I have good memories of Crawforddyke.

Hello I am Kelsey Dale. I am a former pupil at Crawforddyke Primary School, I have had so many good and bad memories. I will miss all the teachers and I wish you all well for the future. Love from Kelsey xx

Hi. My name is Jennifer Daly (Woodhouse). I was at the school til 1981. I was friends with Catherine, Shari, Carolyn, Brenda, Aileen, Angela, Lesley and Sharon. If I have missed anyone out then sorry!!!! Great to look at pictures of the school again. Brought back memories. Does anyone remember me?

Hey people it's Emma Donnelly. I hope you still remember me, I left in 2000 and went to Carluke High. I'm in S5. I hope to go on to do primary teaching. I have a younger brother and sister still at Crawforddyke. I enjoy high school and I am doing well but really miss all the teachers at Crawforddyke and will never forget all the good times!!!!!!!

Hi, I'm Janette Donnelly. I'm not sure there are many teachers still at the school from when I was there. I left in 1992 but still have fond memories of Crawforddyke, especially being the captain of the netball team and leading us to victory in the netball league and becoming joint winners of the final tournament held at Carluke High. What a great day that was!!!

I am just finished my teacher training and due to start my teaching career at Forth Primary but I think it would be great if I could have a chance to teach in my old primary school.

Hope you all enjoy your years at Crawforddyke and will look forward to reading more from former pupils.

Hi, my name is Brenda Duddy I was a former student being there between 1975 - 1981 (I think). I have very fond memories of the school. To Jennifer Daly (Woodhouse) am I the Brenda you remember playing with??? As I have a shocking memory when it comes to names. Yes I remember Miss Young.

I am now in Perth Western Australia and have only got back to Carluke once since leaving in 1989. Lorraine White I believe we may have gone through school together.

For those who were in my class throughout school, I'm sure your memories are as good as mine!

My name is David Kerr. I left Crawforddyke Primary School in June 2002 and now go to Carluke High School. I'm really enjoying the High School but still have great memories of my Crawforddyke days!

Hi, my name is Claire Martin. I left Crawforddyke Primary School in the Year 2000. I was "the sporty one" at Primary School who won the Sports Champion of the Year and was the good netball player helping my team win the Netball League 2 years in a row.

I am now in 5th Year at High School and leaving at the end of the year to go on to study a Degree in Mental Health Nursing!

I am sure a lot of the Crawforddyke staff will remember me, I sure remember them as I still hold good memories of Crawforddyke Primary School!!

Hi, I'm Heather Martin I attended Crawforddyke until 1994.

I have loads of great memories from my time at primary school;

The 'Look' book - the first book we were given in P1, I still remember it had a red cover and only had the word 'look' printed in it.

The famous yellow box outside Mr Mitchell's office (I was only in it once and was terrified!).

The lovely office ladies - Mrs Martin sticks in my mind most - who would call your parents if you hurt yourself/forgot your dinner money.

Our lovely 'jannie' who still recognised me when I went to vote a few years ago.

The flags on the grass when it was too wet to play on and the ice slides we used to have on the grassy hill behind the primary one classrooms (they usually ended up red flagged too to stop broken legs!).

The evil stoney tarmac on the netball court that we used to play red rover/British bulldogs on (I still have the scars on my hands and knees from falling over...)

Winning one of the Burns Day prizes for reciting Tam O'Shanter.

Scottish Country Dancing classes with Mrs Martin and the annual Burns Supper.

The cloakrooms we had the hang out in if it was raining (painted a funny light blue colour if I remember rightly) and being a wet weather monitor for the kids in P1-3 when you were a 'big' P7.

And most of all some of the best teachers ever - Mrs Miller (sp? Might be Millar), Mrs McMillan, Mrs Ford and many more...all cracking teachers. If any of my teachers read this and remember me I'm sure you won't be surprised I've chosen a profession that allows me to talk a lot, I now work in Public Affairs after time spent in Public Relations and Event Management.

Thank you all for giving me many happy memories of Primary School, I had a ball!

Graham McAdam. I left just this year. I love the high school, my favourite subject so far is history. I miss all the teachers especially Miss Paterson and Mrs Girdwood.

Zoe Macdonald. Hi everyone, Zoe Macdonald here, I attended the school from 1978 to 1985 (I think), my 2 kids attend the school just now, Chloe and Euan Williamson, but the reason I am writing this today is I have just been speaking to Miss Young (those of you who attended about the same time will remember her), and I have to say I recognised her straight away. She has not changed.

Hi, I'm John McLellan. I just left this year the first 2 days of high school has been good I love high school but I miss some teachers from primary. My favourite subject I've had so far has to be history.

Hello! My name is Andrew Miller. I left Crawforddyke in 2005. Even though I'm enjoying High School I still miss the Crawforddyke. All the teachers were nice and so were most of the pupils. I can still remember Crawforddyke and some times I want to go back there, just to walk around the building again and to see all the younger pupils run around the playground. (YOU DON'T SEE THAT IN HIGH SCHOOL).

I'm at Carluke High School now. I'm in my own band that I brought together called "Road Block". We have just started. Here are the members:

Me (Andrew Miller) = Guitar and Vocals
Thomas Semple (another former pupil) = Bass
Gavin (from Kirkton) = Drums

There a couple of girls who are helping us with stuff. They're not singers or anything they just keep us organised since we are boys :)

I hope Crawforddyke will remember me as I remember them....

Hi, my name is Nadia Murray. I left Crawforddyke in 2002 and I now go to Carluke High School. I really enjoy going to high school but I still miss all my primary teachers. I hope everyone is enjoying being at Crawforddyke Primary. You will love High School when you get here.

However I still get to see Crawforddyke as that is now where Shine rehearses on a Tuesday night. Oh, and I love the fact that my art work is still displayed in the "Top Websites" page!

Hi I'm Scott Shearer a former pupil of Crawforddyke. I left in 2005. I am still at High School leaving in the summer. I am sure most of the teachers will remember me. I can remember running about the school having fun. At the school I won the cross country and the one hundred metre sprint. Hope to see you.

P.S. My Dad says the football photo is wrong it is Mr Cleland not Mr Hetton. My dad is in the photo, front rwo 3rd in from the left. (Thank you Scott, we've amended that now!)

Hi, I'm Robert Smith (aka Black Bob) and I left Crawforddyke in 2002. I go to Carluke High now, which is fun but there is too much homework! Way too much! Still got a little brother at CP. Good luck teachers, tryin to cope with him! Hope all the teachers are having lots of fun as they did when my class was there!

Hi, my name is Ashley Stephen and I moved to Dunoon from Carluke when I was just going into P4 (in 1995) and now go to Dunnon Grammar School with my little sister Laura. I was searching the internet and came across Crawforddyke Primary and it stirred up lots of fun memories. I was just thinking about how lovely Crawforddyke was and that some of my teachers might still be there!

I would just like to say how much I enjoyed Crawforddyke Primary (especially the huts!) and that I'll never forget it even though it must have changed a great deal and I'm sure is even better!

My name is David Walker. I left Crawforddyke in 2003 to come to Carluke High. I really enjoyed my primary 7 at Crawforddyke but I've settled into High School now and enjoy it here too.

Hi my name's Lorraine White. I went to Crawforddyke from 1975 till 1981. I have many happy memories from my school days there especially my first love who was a guy called Allan Burton. (Hello to you if you read this. I believe you are a police man now). I left carluke in 89 when I got married unfortunately we split up 4 years ago. I still live down south but manage to get up to Carluke now and again, as my mum and dad still live there. In fact my mum was the dinner lady at Crawforddyke when I went there. She is currently the dinner lady at the High School, so say 'Hi' to Moira next time you see her.
